A Stellar Scoop Story

Stellar Scoop was created from something that has always been a huge part of my life: my love for animals and my desire to care for them.

For more than 12 years, I have worked in the veterinary field, with the last 8 years spent as an Emergency Veterinary Technician in an emergency animal hospital. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of caring for pets during some of their most vulnerable moments. I've comforted frightened animals, supported families during difficult times, cared for critically ill patients, and experienced firsthand just how deeply our pets are woven into our families.

As a pet owner myself, I understand that feeling on a personal level. Our pets aren't simply animals that live in our homes — they're family. They bring us comfort, laughter, companionship, and unconditional love, and I believe the people entrusted with their care should treat them that way.

That belief became the foundation for Stellar Scoop.

It may not be the most glamorous part of pet ownership, but after years in veterinary medicine, I know that a clean yard is about more than appearances.

Pet waste can contain parasites, bacteria, and other organisms capable of affecting the health of animals and, in some cases, people. Some diseases and parasites can be transmitted between animals and humans, known as zoonotic diseases. Regular waste removal helps reduce environmental contamination and limits opportunities for pets and their families to come into contact with potentially harmful organisms.

It also means fewer flies, less odor, cleaner paws coming back into the house, and a yard that families can actually enjoy.

That medical perspective is what made pet waste removal especially interesting to me. I realized that something as simple as routinely cleaning a yard could provide pet owners with convenience while also contributing to a cleaner, healthier environment for their pets and families.

And let's face it — picking up poop isn't exactly anyone's favorite chore. So why not let me take care of it?

After spending so many years caring for animals in a hospital setting, I wanted to take that same compassion, attention to detail, and experience into the community.

Pet parents deserve to leave home knowing their animals are in capable, caring hands. Whether it's a quick drop-in, an extended visit, an overnight stay, a walk, or caring for a pet with additional needs, my goal is to provide the kind of care I would want someone to give my own pets.

My veterinary background has also given me experience working with pets of different ages, personalities, medical needs, and comfort levels. Most importantly, it has taught me to pay attention to the little things. When I'm caring for someone's pet, I'm not just checking something off a list — I'm making sure they're comfortable, happy, safe, and cared for.

I created Stellar Scoop to combine two things that matter to me: caring for animals and making life a little easier for the people who love them.

Whether I'm caring for your pet while you're away or making sure you can step into your backyard without watching where you put your feet, I want you to feel confident knowing your home and pets are being cared for by someone who genuinely understands how important they are.

Stellar Scoop isn't about simply scooping yards or completing pet visits. It's about building relationships with local pet families and becoming someone you can trust with the animals who mean the world to you.
